Artist's Description
This month my "bonus" painting is of Luna, a barn owl rescued by Project Wildlife. Last March I was given a tour of the the Project Wildlife operations, and was so impressed with how much they do with so little space, (pretty much just a trailer - most animals are taken in by volunteers) that I wanted to help out. I am donating this painting to Project Wildlife to auction and raise funds to help with all they do for animals brought in for rehabilitation. They get everything from tiny birds, shore birds, raptors and owls, to rabbits and raccoons to name a few. I will blast out the specific info once I get it from them as to how to bid on this painting. If you are interested please let me know! It is great way to help out an amazing organization.

About Cathy Carey
Contemporary Expressive Colorist Cathy Carey was born in Washington, DC. and grew up in Alexandria, VA. She was educated at the Corcoran School of Art in Washington DC, and received a BFA in Painting and Printmaking from Virginia Commonwealth University in Richmond, Virginia. Several years later Carey moved to Southern California and continued painting, and started a business in graphic design and illustration. She works in all media’s including Photoshop to create images. She currently maintains a studio and teaches workshops in San Diego, CA and Santa Fe, NM., and has taught at the Art Institute of CA in San Diego.
