This little Fennic Fox is the most adorable critter I have seen outside my own home of beloved dogs. The giant ears on them are so they can hear insects underground, and I'm guessing anything that moves anywhere near them! I imagine him listening to the sounds of the wind and earth breathing and the underground fires of ancient volcano's sliding past gushing subterranean oceans. All the moving lines represent the energy of life as it transforms from one substance into another, the pulsing rhythm of consciousness that I believe is the connective tissue between all matter. We are all connected in the dance of energy and life. "Love" - the healing and creative force of the universe, is written to the right of the foxes feet.
Contemporary Expressive Colorist Cathy Carey was born in Washington, DC. and grew up in Alexandria, VA. She was educated at the Corcoran School of Art in Washington DC, and received a BFA in Painting and Printmaking from Virginia Commonwealth University in Richmond, Virginia. Several years later Carey moved to Southern California and continued painting, and started a business in graphic design and illustration. She works in all media’s including Photoshop to create images. She currently maintains a studio and teaches workshops in San Diego, CA and Santa Fe, NM., and has taught at the Art Institute of CA in San Diego.
