Our spiral notebooks are 6" x 8" in size and include 120 pages which are lined on both sides. The artwork is printed on the front cover which is made of thick paper stock, and the back cover is medium gray in color. The inside of the back cover includes a pocket for storing extra paper and pens.

A summer scene of hollyhocks and a big thunderhead cloud rising above the beautiful Chimayo chapel. One of the most special times of year is the summer monsoon season. The flowers and vegetation go wild in a fecund burst of glory! Famous for being the "Lourdes" of the southwest, many people come to this rustic church for the miraculous dirt, believed to have healing power. I have always felt the healing properties of this special place, and always stop by on my way to Taos. Over the years it has changed a lot, but still maintains a folk art kind of charm to the buildings and artwork that make it feel so genuine. The healing grace of Chimayo for me has to do with more than the dirt, it is also the sun and sky, the mountains and stars, the whole spinning, dancing wonderland of life that I find myself in.
Contemporary Expressive Colorist Cathy Carey was born in Washington, DC. and grew up in Alexandria, VA. She was educated at the Corcoran School of Art in Washington DC, and received a BFA in Painting and Printmaking from Virginia Commonwealth University in Richmond, Virginia. Several years later Carey moved to Southern California and continued painting, and started a business in graphic design and illustration. She works in all media’s including Photoshop to create images. She currently maintains a studio and teaches workshops in San Diego, CA and Santa Fe, NM., and has taught at the Art Institute of CA in San Diego.
