Our spiral notebooks are 6" x 8" in size and include 120 pages which are lined on both sides. The artwork is printed on the front cover which is made of thick paper stock, and the back cover is medium gray in color. The inside of the back cover includes a pocket for storing extra paper and pens.

If there was a picture of my heart, (in spite of all the sadness and tragedy that seems to befall anyone who reaches my age), this is what my heart would look like. I still feel the joy of a young spirit about to embark on a wondrous journey. The happy heart is also a play on meaning - as a "hart" is also a name for a deer. I did a series of deer based on the deer I encountered and sketched while on vacation in upstate New York. This scene is in the southwest.
Contemporary Expressive Colorist Cathy Carey was born in Washington, DC. and grew up in Alexandria, VA. She was educated at the Corcoran School of Art in Washington DC, and received a BFA in Painting and Printmaking from Virginia Commonwealth University in Richmond, Virginia. Several years later Carey moved to Southern California and continued painting, and started a business in graphic design and illustration. She works in all media’s including Photoshop to create images. She currently maintains a studio and teaches workshops in San Diego, CA and Santa Fe, NM., and has taught at the Art Institute of CA in San Diego.
