Our greeting cards are 5" x 7" in size and are produced on digital offset printers using 100 lb. paper stock. Each card is coated with a UV protectant on the outside surface which produces a semi-gloss finish. The inside of each card has a matte white finish and can be customized with your own message up to 500 characters in length. Each card comes with a white envelope for mailing or gift giving.

I have painted Chimayo many times, it is a meditation to paint and imagine myself there, to feel the scenery and smell the winter time pi�on smoke in the air. In this winter scene I wanted to show a shining star, like the Star of Bethlehem beaming in the night sky above the Santurario of healing that is Chimayo. I have a friend, Doug David, who is in need of a miraculous healing and I was thinking about him while I painted this. I wanted to use glittering Christmas package colors, and capture that special magic that is Christmas time, in a place that has inspired many people to pilgrimage to for spiritual and physical healing. The open doors welcome you in, inviting you to lay down your burdens and be healed.
I posted the process as I worked on it to my Facebook page and it was a favorite right away. Lanna at the Ranch at Taos Gallery showed it to prospective buyers on her phone and sold it - before I even shipped it out there!
Contemporary Expressive Colorist Cathy Carey was born in Washington, DC. and grew up in Alexandria, VA. She was educated at the Corcoran School of Art in Washington DC, and received a BFA in Painting and Printmaking from Virginia Commonwealth University in Richmond, Virginia. Several years later Carey moved to Southern California and continued painting, and started a business in graphic design and illustration. She works in all media’s including Photoshop to create images. She currently maintains a studio and teaches workshops in San Diego, CA and Santa Fe, NM., and has taught at the Art Institute of CA in San Diego.
