Our spiral notebooks are 6" x 8" in size and include 120 pages which are lined on both sides. The artwork is printed on the front cover which is made of thick paper stock, and the back cover is medium gray in color. The inside of the back cover includes a pocket for storing extra paper and pens.

I did the sketch for this painting last fall while in Arizona. This is a view of a dry river bed running through the desert. An oasis sits on either side of the divide with Palo Verde trees waving in the breeze. I love the patterns the wind and sand make in the soil, swirling around the vegetation and making patterns of movement. The soils are so colorful in the desert too. Tiny specks of mountains and life ground down into bits by time.
Contemporary Expressive Colorist Cathy Carey was born in Washington, DC. and grew up in Alexandria, VA. She was educated at the Corcoran School of Art in Washington DC, and received a BFA in Painting and Printmaking from Virginia Commonwealth University in Richmond, Virginia. Several years later Carey moved to Southern California and continued painting, and started a business in graphic design and illustration. She works in all media’s including Photoshop to create images. She currently maintains a studio and teaches workshops in San Diego, CA and Santa Fe, NM., and has taught at the Art Institute of CA in San Diego.
